Born this Way Foundation’s Kindness in the Community Fund
As communities everywhere navigate multiple, overlapping crises, young people have stated clearly their need for proactive mental health support. Born This Way Foundation will launch a $1,000,000 commitment to fund free, accessible, community-informed mental health support for youth in coordination with Lady Gaga’s The Chromatica Ball Summer Stadium Tour U.S. dates. Born This Way Foundation will solicit proposals from 501(c)(3) organizations based in U.S. tour cities’* metro areas that are focused on mental wellness and:

  • are informed and/or led by young people,
  • are rooted in practices of inclusion and equity at all levels, and
  • provide free and accessible resources. 

 
*Current U.S. Tour Cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Hershey, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, D.C.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s Arts Programs for Justice-Involved Youth
This solicitation will support high-quality arts programs for justice-involved youth to reduce juvenile delinquency, recidivism, and/or other problem and high-risk behaviors. Arts programs include but are not limited to painting, sculpting, drama, digital media, film, music, dance, singing, and creative writing. This project seeks to support and strengthen collaborations between arts-based organizations and juvenile justice systems to develop, expand, or enhance effective interventions that provide access to high-quality art programs with and for justice-involved youth.

Department of Transportation’s Pilot Program for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Planning
The Pilot Program for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Planning aims to improve public transportation by providing funding to local communities to integrate land use and transportation planning with a new fixed guideway or core capacity transit capital investment. Local grantees must use the funding to:

  • Improve economic development and ridership
  • Foster multimodal connectivity and accessibility
  • Improve transit access for pedestrian and bicycle traffic
  • Engage the private sector
  • Identify infrastructure needs
  • Enable mixed-use development near transit stations

The Federal Transit Administration is “reviewing opportunities to prioritize TOD planning grants in areas of high incidence rates of homelessness.”

Road Runner’s Club of America’s Kids Run the Nation Grant Fund
The goal of the RRCA’s Kids Run the Nation Grant Fund is to provide financial assistance to running clubs, schools, and community-based nonprofits interested in implementing or currently hosting youth running programs. RRCA is making small grants ranging from $500 to $1,000 to youth running programs throughout the U.S. Running clubs, events, or other organizations with the IRS 501(c)(3) designation are eligible to apply. Elementary and middle schools that provide an organized after-school running program are eligible as well.
