Many young adults entering the workforce lack the hard and soft skills necessary to present themselves as likely candidates for jobs. The JobPro games teach invaluable workplace skills by engaging young adults in fun, yet challenging games to develop essential soft skills.

About Jessica

When it comes to learning real life skills from gaming and technology in the world where our youth and young adults live, Jessica Trybus, CEO of Simcoach Games, is a thought leader, in academia and in industry.   She is leading the vision and strategy for using games to drive learning and behavioral change- what some call serious play.   Jessica founded the company out of Carnegie Mellon University based on her R&D on applying interactivity and gaming mechanics to learning, and to respond to the large demand in corporations for more effective training and workforce readiness.  Since 2004, she has led special University initiatives and has served as teaching faculty at Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center. Through this work, Jessica has contributed to Carnegie Mellon’s recognition as a pioneer in using game-based learning to teach.

About Connection

Connection isn’t just an event, it’s an experience. Each year the Connection event brings together thought leaders from the youth service field to make unexpected connections that break through the status quo.  A refreshing line up of brilliant speakers challenge practice-as-usual and provide participants with the opportunity to learn about and discuss key issues in a relaxed, creative atmosphere. Our innovative format means that you don’t just listen to thought-provoking presentations and fresh ideas, you have the chance to discuss and build upon them. Our broad, multi-sector network means that you can expect the opportunity to talk with familiar colleagues, reconnect where you may have lost touch, and get connected with those outside your network.   Even our nontraditional space provides inspiration to move, think, and speak freely. Help someone you know move to the next level, and pass this video on.
